A Very Cool Day!

Awww - yesterday was a lot of fun!

It is easy to get caught up in the sad stuff, the worrisome stuff and the just plain annoying, from time to time.:o)
That's why it is so nice to have just a nice, very cool animal day once in awhile.

So what happened? Well, Murray (above) wasn't working out in his new house - the resident cat hated him and was acting out, so they decided to let him come back to the program.

I spoke to a lovely local artist who had been interested in this dear boy. Was she still interested in meeting him? YES! She was very excited! So yesterday I picked him up from his new home and took him to his potential new, new home.

The resident cats seemed interested and easy going, the resident dogs were excited but friendly and his new "mom" loves him already. What a lovely place. I had coffee and a long talk and then got to meet the other residents. What a treat! Two big ponies with their shaggy winter fur, a charming mini donkey and then I got to meet the "ladies. I have never been given "alpaca kisses" before. They were so gentle, soft and those gorgeous big, dark eyes.

It was awesome.

I hope you had a great day with animals too.

Hi all,
You may know about the Pepsi Challenge - they are giving away a total of $200,000 every cycle (2months) to various groups and individuals in Canada
Project Jessie came in 4th last time (we needed to be top 3 to win $10,000) so we are trying one more time.

Please consider registering and voting for us. If you would like to be added to my daily email reminder list, email me at shelly@animalalliance.ca

A new voting cycle has started in the Pepsi Challenge - Please Vote if you are able.

Thank you for voting! The first few days are critical!
If we can get into one of the top 3 positions in the next few days we have a really good chance of holding there and winning $10,000.

PLEASE be sure to vote everyday at least for the next few days.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been helping us!

You do have to register once.
If you registered last time around, the same password will still work.
After you sign in, (there is a button in the lower left hand corner) you get 10 votes per day (but can only vote for an idea once daily)

Remember you have to be signed in order to have your vote count. (Even though it lets you click the "Vote now" button when you first get on the site - those votes won't count). If you check your "vote counter" at the bottom of the page you can make sure your vote went through...

If you have trouble reading the "squiggly words", hitting "refresh" will give you new words. Keep refreshing until you get two you can easily read.

The shortcut to our idea is:

Thanks everyone!
If you are voting and have extra votes to use, there are a lot of great ideas in the other prize categories!
